PureSight helps you in deciding what content to allow and what content to block. Our communications, psychology and language experts have analyzed thousands of chats in public forums and chats to detect offensive language and offensive conversation patterns in communication between children.

The result is an Active Chat Inspector that comes with a pre-loaded, built-in layer of protection against profanities, so you do not have to do anything. In addition to the automated action of the Active Chat Inspector. You can also decide what to allow and what to block and also define categories of conversations to be filtered (or to be alerted of) in addition to specific words or phrases. And PureSight inspects both incoming and outgoing content!

Filter offensive web content

Instant Messaging Filtering
PureSight PC allows you to track your children’s conversations when using Instant Messaging software. PureSight PC adapts itself to your needs, allowing several levels of filtering that:

1. Track conversations: With PureSight PC you can track each one of the conversations your children are holding online. We encourage you to take a look at these reports and look for any suspicious content, even when your children chat with class friends, to be aware of net-bullying and grooming.
2. Conceal keywords: This is one great feature! As parents, there are lots of words you don’t want your children to see. In addition, there are other words you don’t want your children to type to strangers online, such us their address or school name. PureSight Parental Control allows you to make a list of forbidden keywords that in turn, will be concealed in real time3! Of course, you will receive a report when a forbidden keyword was used.
3. Block Chat Partners: With PureSight PC you can have full control of the people with whom your children are chatting. You can also allow a restricted list of chat partners (such as family and friends), or block any contact with suspicious chat partners.
4. Restrict Online Time: You can also limit the time your children spend using Instant Messaging applications. The limitation can be to a quota of hours per day, to a limit of time per conversation, or both. Once the limit is exceeded, PureSight PC automatically closes any open Instant Messaging applications.
5. Block Applications: Maybe you don’t want your children to use instant messaging at all. That’s ok. With PureSight PC you can completely prevent any instant messaging usage.

File Sharing Filtering
PureSight PC allows you to control which applications and programs are allowed to communicate with your computer online. For example, with this feature you take control of Internet file sharing so that you can control what music and video files you allow your children to access.

Programs and application such as instant messengers (as MSN Messenger and ICQ) and file sharing programs (as Emule) connect with each other via Peer-2-Peer protocols. Blocking specific protocols means blocking specific applications, and the way they connect to the Internet.

PureSight PC supplies a constantly updated list of most common Peer-2-Peer protocols and you can choose whether to enable or disable a specific protocol as you see fit.

Time Limits
PureSight PC helps you control the time your children spend online. When specifying a profile for your children, you can restrict each one of them to an online time quota, as you see fit.

Once the quota is reached, Internet connectivity is curtailed and the user cannot connect to the Internet again until the quota is renewed, the next day for example. Because PureSight PC gets time information from external time servers, local changes do not influence its activity.

With PureSight PC, not only can you restrict the time your children spend online, but you can also schedule Internet usage, for example; you can restrict Internet usage at night. As the account administrator, you can easily change the Internet usage schedule to fit the changing needs of both you and your children.

Alerts
PureSight PC always lets you know what’s happening online. For example, when one of your children tries to enter a forbidden website, “play” with the software settings, or even use a forbidden keyword during a chat session, you will immediately receive a notification alert.

You select what you want to know and when it should be reported. Alerts are sent by email to one or more email addresses, keeping you updated, aware and in control.

Reports
PureSight PC provides you (the administrator/parent) with reports per user profile on all surfing activities.

Reports can also be configured to be sent by email. Each report will keep you informed on your children’s Internet activities on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Summarized or detailed reports can also be sent as plain text files or password protected zip-archives for maximum security.
